4TH ANNUAL STEP UP FOR DOWN SYNDROME WALK SCHEDULED AT DISCOVERY PARK
Join Ds Connections Nw as they team up with the dynamic Valleyfest in Spokane Valley
On Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10 am at Discovery Park in Spokane Valley, WA, Ds Connections Nw will host the 4th annual Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk. An easy one mile walk so friends and family of all ages can show their support. Early on-line registration is open until September 1 at FirstGiving.com/DSCNw.
The Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk was developed as a way to reach out to friends, family and co-workers to promote awareness and inclusion for people with Down syndrome; it is also designated to raise funds for local and national education, research and advocacy programs.
New in 2012: 5K/10K Run and a Family Bike Ride on Sunday, September 23rd.These additional events offer more opportunity to participate and show support. After the walk, run and ride, celebrate with your friends, join the 2012 Hall of Fame, become an advocate or become a volunteer. Spend some quality family time in the Discovery Playground’s fully accessible park and enjoy all the fun, food and festivities at Valleyfest.
