SEATTLE (AP) - Digital media provider RealNetworks Inc. said Tuesday that President and CEO Thomas Nielsen resigned after less than a year with the company.
The company said chairman and company founder Rob Glaser will be interim CEO, while the search is under way for a new CEO.
"The board and Thomas mutually agreed that the CEO position wasn't the right fit," Glaser said in a press release.
Nielsen became president and CEO of RealNetworks on Nov. 9. Before that, he was in charge of Adobe Systems Inc.'s digital imaging business.
Shares of RealNetworks rose a penny to close at $8.78.
