Earns schedule for chips, PCs, services companies

Later this month, several companies providing computers, components, services and related software will begin releasing their earnings reports for the latest quarter. It will generally cover the July-September period, though some companies have fiscal quarters that depart from that.

Here's a schedule for selected companies. Dates for many companies, including Oracle Corp., are not yet known.

- Oct. 16: Intel Corp., IBM Corp.

- Oct. 18: Microsoft Corp., Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

- Oct. 22: Texas Instruments Inc., Western Digital Corp.

- Oct. 23: Xerox Corp.

- Oct. 24: EMC Corp., SAP AG

- Oct. 25: Apple Inc.

- Nov. 7: Qualcomm Inc.

- Nov. 20: Hewlett Packard Co., Dell. Inc.
