Activision: New 'Call of Duty' hits $1B sales mark

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) - "Call of Duty: Black Ops II" crossed the $1 billion mark in worldwide retail sales 15 days after its Nov. 13 release, Activision Blizzard Inc., the video game's publisher, said Wednesday.

Last year's "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" hit the $1 billion sales mark in 16 days.

The company cited data from U.K.-based retail researcher Chart-Track, which tracks sales through retailers, and internal company estimates.
