Zags' Non-Conference Schedule A Tough One

As far as non-conference schedules go, Gonzaga has a good one. Like they always do. And on a scale of one to 10, at least one writer at ESPN gives the Zags a 9.

Most notable on Gonzaga's pre-WCC schedule this year is a matchup with Butler. That's the one being highlighted by ESPN with a special GameDay visit to Hinkle Fieldhouse. They also play West Virginia, Kansas State (in Seattle) and Baylor.

To balance out a tough schedule, they also play Southern Utah, South Dakota, Lewis-Clark State, Pacific, local rival Washington State, and Campbell.

The Zags' first conference game is January 3 at Pepperdine.

As for the rest of the WCC, BYU also gets a ‘9' rating from ESPN's Eamonn Brennan. Saint Mary's, the other top team in the conference, gets a ‘5', with non-conference games at the DIRECTV Classic, Northern Iowa, Utah State and Harvard to name a few.
