Whitworth Now Ranked #4 in Division Three

SPOKANE, Wash. – Whitworth University moved up one more spot to fourth in today's D3hoops.com top-25 poll.

The Pirates (14-1) have steadily moved up from 11th to 6th to 5th to 4th over the last four weeks of the poll.  Room was made for Whitworth to move up one more spot this week when previously #1 North Central (Ill.) took its first loss of the season last week.  The Cardinals fell to fifth in this week's poll.

The Pirates are the highest ranked team with a loss in the current poll.  Whitworth's only loss this season came to now-top-ranked St. Thomas (Minn.) in the season opener.  Whitworth has won 14 straight  games since that defeat.

Going back to the 2009-10 season, Whitworth has been ranked in the D3hoops.com top-25 for 43 consecutive polls.
