Upgraded Stadium on the Horizon at Eastern Washington?

Eastern Washington is in the feasibility phase of upgrading its football stadium to include more seating, more comfortable accommodations and more amenities than is currently offered around Roos Field.

The original proposal for "Project Gateway" was submitted to the EWU Board of Directors last spring. On Friday, Eastern Washington posted a link on its Facebook page to a survey. Questions such as, "how many games do you normally attend?" to "how much would you spend to lease a luxury box?" were asked.

The proposed addition would add 8,000 new seats to the stadium – some of which would be covered. Inside the building would be upgraded seating, concessions, shops, training rooms and football offices.

The University said in a statement back in March that the project would be funded entirely with donations. If approved, it would be ready for use in September 2014.
