Tuel Will Start for Cougars in Tempe

Washington State took the first major step towards putting the drama of last week in the past by saying Jeff Tuel is expected to be back in time for the Arizona State game on Saturday.

Tuel left last week's game against UCLA with what appeared to be an injury to the clavicle he injured last season.

Despite all of the injuries throughout his career, Tuel is not feeling sorry for himself.

"It's out of my control, I'm not going to sit here and worry about things that are out of my control," said Tuel. "I can't control them. I play the game a certain way and that's as hard as I can. I'm not going to sit here and say ‘what if.'"

"Most people quit," said coach Mike Leach. "He's a tough guy and I think he's an example for everybody as far as real commitment to playing football. He's never flinched on anything regarding his role or anything like that."

This weekend's game in Tempe is a big one for the Sun Devils. A win against the Cougars would make them eligible for a bowl game in the postseason. Arizona State has not won a game in November since 2010.
