Summer League Update: Former Zags Galore in Las Vegas

The NBA summer league in Las Vegas this year is a like a Zag-fest, with a handful of former Gonzaga players – including Adam Morrison – being called in to show off their skills.

Morrison is set to play for the Los Angeles Clippers after he finishes up a schedule with the Brooklyn Nets. Micah Downs is playing for Dallas, Jeremy Pargo is with Memphis, Steven Gray is playing for Washington and Rob Sacre will be playing for the Lakers.

Austin Daye, with the Detroit Pistons, had a good showing Thursday against the Celtics. He hit a long two-ball at the buzzer to put Detroit up 25-17 at the end of the first quarter, and then gave his team a 19-point lead in the third off a smooth drive to the basket. He finished with 15 points in the 93-79 win. The Pistons close out the summer schedule Friday against Philadelphia.

Morrison finished Thursday's game against Oklahoma City with
four points and one assist.
