The Shock have impressed with defensive efforts this season. This one might have taken the cake, though.
The Shock held San Antonio to just six second-half points on Friday night en route to a 77-30 blowout of the Talons at the Spokane Arena.
The Shock got touchdowns via a fumble recovery (Diryal Briggs with the score) and an interception (Terence Moore with the theft and score). The defense also came away with a safety.
Oh yeah, Terrance Sanders chipped in with a 56-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Paul Stephens had three interceptions and Sanders added the fifth for the Shock. Moore also had a fumble recovery to go along with his interception.
Terrance Taylor contributed with a trio of sacks on hapless Talons quarterback Rohan Davey, who threw three touchdowns to go along with his five interceptions. Davey also had the ball slip out of his hands twice, leading to turnovers both times.
