Eastern Washington beat Montana 32-26 at Roos Field on Saturday to keep their No. 7 ranking and push the Grizzlies out of the FCS Top 25 poll.
The Eagles scored twice in the final 2:19 to win the game 32-26 over the weekend. Quarterback Vernon Adams went 25-of-41 for 353 yards and three touchdowns in his second career start. The win came even though Montana outgained EWU 533-447 yards in total offense.
"It was a wild finish and our guys just kept believing," said coach Beau Baldwin.
Eastern Washington moves on to play North Dakota on Saturday – a game televised on SWX.
North Dakota State kept hold of the No. 1 ranking, while Montana State remained at No. 2 with a win over Southern Utah. Youngstown State was No. 3, followed by Old Dominion, James Madison and Wofford.
