BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Two games into the season, third-ranked LSU is now playing without 2 of its top players and a projected starter at a third spot.
It's just a little hard to tell when they've won their first two games by a combined score of 82-17.
Miles says he is pleased with how well players have stepped into starting roles when called upon.
Cornerback Jalen Mills is filling in for dismissed star Tyrann Mathieu, Josh Dworaczyk started for injured left tackle Chris Faulk last Saturday, and Luke Muncie is starting for linebacker Tahj Jones, who's been sidelined by academic matters.
Although the Tigers host winless heavy underdog Idaho this Saturday, Miles says his team must demonstrate steady progress and keep developing depth as it prepares for its Southeastern Conference slate.
