BOISE, Idaho (AP) - D.J. Harper rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown and Joe Southwick threw for another score to lead No. 24 Boise State to a 20-10 victory over Fresno State Saturday.

Harper was the leader of a Boise State (5-1, 2-0 Mountain West) rushing attack that chewed up 215 yards on the ground and propelled the Broncos to their seventh straight victory over the Bulldogs.

Southwick put the Broncos up in the first quarter when he fired a 10-yard touchdown to Geraldo Boldewijn (BOLD-uh-vine) in the left corner of the end zone. Southwick was 11 of 22 for 113 yards passing and one interception.

Harper then gave Boise State a 17-0 lead before the half with a nifty 28-yard TD run. Jay Ajayi added 82 yards on 14 carries for Boise State.

The loss dropped the Bulldogs (4-3, 2-1) out of a first-place tie with Nevada. The Bulldogs scored their only touchdown late when Derek Carr lobbed a 3-yard TD to Davante Evans. Carr was 29 of 43 passing for 266 yards and an interception.
