KANSAS CITY, Mo. (July 11) -- Central Washington University men's basketball players Ted Nelson and Jordan Starr have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) Honors Court for the 2011-12 season.

Nelson and Starr, who completed their senior and junior seasons, respectively, for the Wildcats this past winter, both met each of the four requirements for selection to the NABC Honors Court. The requirements were as follows: student-athletes must be either a junior or senior academically, must have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average, must have matriculated at least one year at CWU, and competed at a NCAA Division I, II, II, or NAIA institution.

The Hoquiam, Wash., native played in all 28 games for the Wildcats during his senior season, averaging 1.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in his final collegiate campaign.

Starr was a redshirt junior at CWU this past winter. The Yakima, Wash., native appeared in 23 of the Wildcats' 28 games, averaging 3.8 points and 1.8 assists per game. Starr is majoring in physical education and school health and is a graduate of A.C. Davis High School.
