ISU football coach fires 4 assistants

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - Idaho State football coach Mike Kramer has announced that he is not retaining four assistant coaches after the team posted a 1-10 mark and lost all 8 of its Big Sky Conference games.

Kramer announced Monday afternoon that offensive line coach Derrick Roche, secondary coach Daniel Drayton, defensive line coach Todd Bates and linebackers coach Rudy Griffin will not be on the staff next season.

Kramer said he wasn't sure if he would be the Bengals defensive coordinator next season.

ISU gave up an average of 55.2 points and 356.6 yards rushing per game, last among 121 Football Championship Subdivision teams on both categories.

Kramer also announced Monday that the school planned to submit a perfect Academic Progress Rate score of 1,000 to the NCAA.
