Idaho's Farquhar honored

University of Idaho senior kicker Trey Farquhar was chosen the Placekicker of the Week by College Football Performance Awards for his efforts in the Vandals' victory over New Mexico State.

Farquhar accounted for 14 of the Vandals' 26 points after booting field goals of 55, 53, 39 and 32 yards in addition to two PATs.

A graduate of East Redlands High School (Redlands, Calif.), Farquhar is Idaho's all-time field goal percentage leader after being successful on 51 of 65 (78.5 percent) of his career attempts. That number includes nine of 10 this season. He also has the Idaho record for field goals of 50 yards or longer with nine. His longest is 55, which he has done twice (last Saturday and vs. San Jose State in 2011) and is second-longest in school history.
