Thunderbirds goalie Justin Myles turned away Liam Stewart's point blank shot 18:00 into the first to preserve Seattle's 1-0 lead. The Chiefs outshot the Thunderbirds 10-6 in the period. Defense was the name of the game in the second period as both goaltenders controlled the crease. The Chiefs went on the power play at 10:26 but couldn't beat Seattle's Myles. Spokane scored the only goal of the second at 17:37 as Helewka walked through the right circle and found the back of the net off assists from Riley Whittingham and Connor Chartier. The third period saw both teams trade shots before Helewka scored his second of the night at 9:17. Cole Wedman and Mitch Holmberg had the assists. Helewka's goal proved to be the last score of the night as both Williams and Myles held serve in net for the remainder of the game. Spokane finished 0-2 on the power play and 2-3 on the penalty kill.
