GAMEDAY: Shock Defense Has Work Cut Out For Itself

The Spokane Shock have shown they can play with the best teams in the AFL. They get a chance to prove it again Friday night as they host No. 1 Arizona at Spokane Arena.
The Spokane defense has its work cut, for sure. Arizona is ranked third in the league in passing thanks to quarterback Nick Davila, who incidentally played for the Shock when the team was in af2. This year, Davila has thrown for 4,261 yards, including 92 touchdowns.

After making nine stops against San Jose last week, the Shock will once again have to come up big to stay in the playoff race.
"We just know we have to study a lot of film, but when we get out there we just have to be physical," said defensive back Paul Stephens earlier this week. "Receivers don't like a lot of physical-ness. We're going to go in with a toughness, with an attitude, with a mindset that we want nothing less than a win."
Friday's game will be shown live on SWX, SWXRightNow.com and on mobile devices in Eastern Washington and North Idaho through the Syncbak app.
