Former Coug Adjusting Well, Quickly to Indoor Game

Two of the ten touchdowns the Shock scored last weekend in their dominating win over the Kansas City Command came from an unlikely source: former Washington State Cougar Jeffrey Solomon.
It isn't that anyone doubted Solomon's talent. He was one of the better receivers the Cougars have had over the years. No, it is because last weekend's game was the first indoor game of his career.

Solomon was added to the team right before the Shock flew out to Chicago. He didn't play in that game, but was added to the lineup in time for Saturday's contest in Spokane. It was during that game he caught just two passes. But those catches amounted to 71 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
Not bad for a rookie who admits playing indoors is a bit of an adjustment.
"To describe it in words, I can't do it," said Solomon. "It's just different… Until you come out and play it, factoring in that wall and how much space you don't have to work with, and how fast guys are coming, it's just different. But I feel like I'm adjusting well and I hope to keep getting better."
Solomon will get to measure his progress against a much better team on Saturday. The Shock host the Utah Blaze at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena – a game seen live on SWX, SWXRightNow.com and on mobile devices through the Syncbak app.
