Central Washington running back Johri Fogerson was supposed to be arraigned Thursday on a charge of third degree assault. But he didn't show up in court.
Fogerson is accused of punching a 15-year-old boy who was singing along with a rap song that used racially offensive language. He asked the boy to stop, but when he didn't stop Fogerson punched him and broke his jaw.
King County Superior Court issued a Failure to Appear warrant when Fogerson didn't show up to make a plea. But Central Washington coach Blaine Bennett said Fogerson rescheduled the arraignment for October 1.
Fogerson is expected to play in CWU's football game against Humboldt State on Saturday.
