Seattle – It may have been three weeks since the Spokane Chiefs last played on the road, but they had no problem out in Seattle. The Chiefs held the lead the entire game and beat the Thunderbirds 3-1.
Todd Fiddler had the big night for Spokane, walking away with a hat-trick after scoring on an empty net with less than 30 seconds remaining in the third period.
The win moves the Chiefs to a season record of 15-7-0-0. It keeps Spokane in third place for the U.S. Division trailing Tri-City and Portland.
Next up, Spokane returns home Wednesday to the Spokane Arena to take on the Everett Silvertips.
