Exhibition Day: Washington State Hosts Saint Martins

Monday was picture day for the men's basketball team at Washington State. But with an exhibition game scheduled Tuesday, the Cougars had little time to stop and say cheese.

After the snapshots were over, it was back to business for the team set to host Saint Martins on Tuesday. Being an exhibition game, the contest doesn't count in the standings but it will be an important learning experience for the new-look Cougs.

"I hope to get a win out of it like every game," said center Brock Motum. "We need to improve in a lot of areas that I think the game elements can bring… when you get repetitions in a game there is nothing that can simulate that."

"We just had a scrimmage against Montana Saturday, so it was fun to play against someone different," said sophomore guard DaVonte Lacy. "And now it's in Beasley [Coliseum], the place is going to be fun. It's going to be a new experience and I can't wait."

After Saint Martins, Washington State begins the regular season Saturday at home against Eastern Washington. That game, at 4 p.m., can be seen live on Pac-12 Networks.
