EWU vs. Wagner: Film Reveals Seahawks' Secret to Success

If you plan on going to Eastern Washington's playoff football this weekend, you'd best act now. Only about 1,000 remained as of Thursday night.

Speaking of that playoff game, the Eagles are well aware of the challenge they will face Saturday. Their opponent, Wagner, is riding a nine game win streak, including a first round win over Colgate last weekend.

After watching film this week, Coach Beau Baldwin can see the Seahawks are a threat on both offense and defense, particularly when it comes to running the ball.

"They're a really good defense, they're experienced, they're older guys and an athletic defense for sure," said quarterback Vernon Adams. "Their defensive backs are really good. We've been watching a lot of film on them and it's nothing we haven't seen before – Kyle and I. We should be fine."

"Being a read-option play, it's a big running week for us," added defensive back Allen Brown about how the Eagles will have to play. "Everybody's going to have to tackle, everybody's going to have to swarm to the ball. It's a big week for tackling."

They will also have to hold quarterback Nick Doscher in check. He comes into Saturday's game having thrown 210 consecutive passes over 11 games without an interception.
