SWXRIGHTNOW.COM - The Eastern Washington Eagles took the field Saturday looking to show their opponents they deserved their number one ranking.
Sacramento State scored early, forcing the Eagles to play catch up. Eastern responded, with Kyle Padron and Vernon Adams leading the offense and tag teaming at quarterback for 3 touchdowns. By the time the fourth quarter came around, the Eagles held a 10 point lead.
When the final buzzer sounded, Eastern led the Hornets 31-28.
Eastern plays again on October 27 at Southern Utah at 12pm pacific.
