After winning their first conference game of the season on Saturday, Eastern Washington got more good news on Monday. The Eagles moved up two spots in the Sports Network Top 25 poll.
Eastern Washington went from No. 9 to No. 7 after Saturday's 32-26 win over Weber State in Ogden. Redshirt freshman quarterback Vernon Adams got the start over SMU transfer Kyle Padron, running for 62 yards, passing for 75 and leading the Eagles to a 20-3 halftime lead.
Pardon came in for much of the second half, because Adams was cramping up, and threw for 149 yards and a touchdown.
North Dakota State remains at the top of the heap with a 3-0 record. Montana State is No. 2, followed by Youngstown State, Old Dominion and James Madison.
Montana fell to No. 21 after losing to Northern Arizona 41-31. Cal Poly made an appearance this week at No. 23 after beating UC Davis 28-20.
