The Shock have been assigned defensive back Ruschard Dodd-Masters to the 2013 roster.

Dodd-Masters, a product of UNLV, returns to Spokane after spending the 2012 AFL season with the San Jose Sabercats. As a member of the Sabercats in 2012, Dodd-Masters recorded 42 tackles, 18 pass break-ups, and six interceptions. As a part of the Spokane Shock in 2011, Dodd-Masters registered 67 tackles, 6 pass break-ups, and two interceptions. Prior to joining the Shock for his AFL debut in 2011, Dodd-Masters spent the previous six seasons in the af2.

"Dodd-Masters knows the game in and out. Last year, he had a very successful season and we believe he will bring us the veteran leadership we need going into 2013," said Shock Head Coach Andy Olson.
