Former Shock quarterback Kyle Rowley has been assigned to the the Jacksonville Sharks, the team announced Monday.
Rowley won the ArenaCup while with the Shock in 2006 and returned to Spokane in 2010 to lead the team to the ArenaBowl title. The former Brown University player was with the Shock
Eastern Washington athletic director Bill Chaves has been honored by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics as one of 28 winners the Under Armour AD of the Year. Chaves, 47, has been at Eastern Washington for six years.

The Shock offense made easy work of the Sharks on Saturday night, out-gunning Jacksonville in a 76-41 win at the Spokane Arena.
