Cougs "Host" Idaho State Saturday in Kennewick

The Washington State men's basketball team returns to action Saturday following a seven-day hiatus for the holidays.

The Cougars (8-4) host Idaho State (1-9) at 3 p.m. in the Toyota Center in Kennewick. WSU last played in the Tri-Cities in 2009 when they defeated Portland State 93-69.

Idaho State has dropped nine straight games after beating Division III Whitworth 68-65 to open the season. The Bengals are paced by senior guard Melvin Morgan, who comes into the contest averaging 13.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Washington State, winners of three straight, will look to finish off their non-conference schedule on a high note before entertaining cross-state rival Washington to open Pac-12 play Saturday, Jan. 5, at Beasley Coliseum.
