Chiefs Tied for 1st with 3-2 Victory Over Americans

The US Division leading Tri-City Americans hosted the 2nd place Chiefs Saturday night.

Spokane came out firing with Jackson Playfair and Mike Aviani both scoring in the 1st period. The Chiefs would take a 3-0 lead into the final period thanks to Todd Fiddler's 8th goal of the season, but the Americans did not go down easily.

They outshot Spokane 18-2 in the final period getting goals from Marcus Messier and Malte Stromwall. It would not be enough though as the Chiefs survived the Americans onslaught winning 3-2.

With the win, the Chiefs are now tied with the Americans for first in the US Division.
