The Chiefs beat Kootenay, 6-3, on Saturday night at Spokane Arena to set up a first-round playoff matchup with the Tri-City Ames.

Blake Gal led the Chiefs with two goals and an assist. Alessio Bertaggia added a goal -- his fourth in two nights -- and a pair of assists. The Chiefs broke open a 4-3 game in the third period with two goals to close out Kootenay.
