FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - Kwame Vaughn scored 17 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists and Cal State Fullerton went on to beat Idaho State 66-53 on Thursday night.
Cal State Fullerton (4-5) led 27-20 at halftime but returned from the locker room determined, going on a 17-2 run to start the second half capped by Alex Harris' lay-in with 13:47 to play to give the Titans a 44-22 lead.
Three other players scored in double figures for the Titans with Sammy Yeager scoring 14 points while D.J. Seeley and Alex Harris each tallied 11 points.
The Titans shot 45.1% from the field, making 23 of 51 shot attempts, but were a perfect 14 of 14 from the free-throw line until Chris Collins missed the team's first from the line with 53 seconds remaining in the game.
Tomas Sanchez led Idaho State (1-7) with 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
