Boise State, La Salle square off in First Four

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Boise State and La Salle will face off Wednesday for the right to visit Kansas State in the NCAA West Region.

The fourth-seeded Wildcats (27-7) won't have far to travel, either. Friday's game is at The Sprint Center in Kansas City. That's where the Wildcats lost to Kansas in the Big 12 tournament title game on Saturday.

Boise State (21-10) and La Salle (21-9) will play at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio, on Wednesday.

The Broncos have never won in five trips to the NCAA tournament, most recently in 2008, when they lost to Louisville 79-61.

This is the first trip to the NCAA tournament since 1992 for La Salle, a Catholic university in Philadelphia.
