AFL Power Rankings: Shock Drop One Spot

By the numbers, the Spokane Shock remain one of the best teams in the Arena Football League. Too bad their division record doesn't show it.
The Shock dropped just one spot in the AFL Power Rankings on Monday to No. 7 – two days after losing to the Utah Blaze. Arizona remains on top, followed by San Antonio, Philadelphia, Utah, San Jose and Chicago.
Spokane's hopes of getting into the playoffs took a big hit Saturday when they blew an 11-point lead in the final seconds to lose to the Blaze. Utah recovered an onside kick. A couple of costly penalties later, Tommy Grady found the end zone for the win. A long field goal by the Shock to tie the game at the end of regulation fell short.
The Shock fell to 7-6 on the season, but they have yet to win a game against a Western Division opponent. Their next chance comes Saturday on the road against San Jose.
