WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama will hold a conference call Wednesday at the White House with a bipartisan group of mayors and community leaders.
The call will focus on growing the economy, preventing an income tax increase on middle-class families and finding ways to reduce the deficit.
So far, a compromise with Republicans to prevent economy-damaging tax increases on the middle class at year's end has been elusive.
In the morning, the president will receive his daily briefing in the Oval Office.
