WSU Police Respond To Gunshot Report

**Press Release From WSU Police**

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University police responded to a report of shots fired on campus early Thursday afternoon in the 1300 and 1400 block of Olympia Avenue SE near Rogers Hall.

Investigating officers report it appears the weapon involved in the incident was a pellet gun. There have been no reported injuries, but the rear passenger window of a vehicle parked in the area was damaged.

The university issued an emergency alert to students, faculty and staff shortly before 2 p.m., warning them to avoid the area or shelter in place. The warning was lifted approximately 15 minutes later.

No suspects were apprehended. The investigation is continuing.
