UPDATE: The person killed on Friday morning on Hwy. 195 has been identified as 60-year-old Rodella Wickard of Pullman, according to the Washington State Patrol. Wickard was the passenger in a 1993 Chrysler Lebaron driven by 57-year-old Gerald Wickard.
Authorities say that 35-year-old Douglas Hinchey of Spokane hit the Wickard's Chrysler when he crossed the center line after falling asleep, according to WSP. Both drivers were transported to the hospital. Hinchey has been charged with Negligent Driving.
UPDATE: Highway 195 is now back open in both directions after a crash. One person was killed and two people were taken by ambulance to a Pullman hospital. The crash happened on Friday morning. We're told by the Washington State Patrol that the driver of a truck fell asleep and hit another vehicle. We'll post more details as we get them.
UPDATE: Dylan Wohlenhaus, who's on the scene of the crash, says that authorities have removed a body from one of the vehicles involved in the crash. At this hour we're still awaiting more details.
