Woman Crashes Into China Dragon In North Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. - Police say an elderly woman may have mixed-up her gas pedal and brake pedal causing her to crash into a Chinese restaurant Tuesday evening. It happened at the China Dragon on Queen just east of Division around 6:45pm Tuesday night. The woman told police that her brakes failed, however officers checked the brakes and said they are fine. Three people walked into the restaurant moments before the crash happened, however they were not injured, nor was the driver. There was about $2,000 worth of damage done to the restaurant, including the destruction of two decorative dragons imported from Taiwan. The woman was cited for driving with a suspended license.
