Vehicle Strikes Pedestrian In North Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police Officers responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in north Spokane Friday evening.

The collision happened just before 7:30pm at the intersection of Francis and Normandie.

The pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a silver SUV traveling westbound, then just like a scene out of a movie, the victim rolled up the hood of the SUV and was then thrown into the street.

The crews that responded first loaded the victim immediately into an ambulance and then took him away with unknown injuries.

The driver of the SUV is reported to be cooperative with authorities as they work diligently to recreate the incident.

The victim was reported to be leaving a bar & grill just before being struck.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, and we have no word on charges as of yet.

We will update you on the story as it unfolds.
