UPDATE: Woman Killed In Hit And Run Crash Near Ford

UPDATE FROM THE WASHINGTON STATE PATROL: WSP Detectives have identified a possible suspect and have impounded the possible suspect vehicle the WSP Spokane Office. No further details can be released at this time since the investigation is continuing.

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol says a pedestrian was killed Tuesday night in a hit and run crash just north of Ford, Washington. 

It happened on highway 231 about 10 miles north of Ford just after 6:00pm. Emergency crews arrived on scene and started CPR but were unable to revive the victim.  The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Evonna Hyde.  The Stevens County Sheriff's Department and the Washington State Patrol are treating the crash as a felony hit and run. They are looking for a dark green pickup or SUV that was traveling southbound on Highway 231.  If you have any information, you are asked to call the Washington State Patrol.
