PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE POLICE DEPT: Spokane Police have arrested the suspect from Tuesday's shooting incident in north Spokane. 29-year old Jesse T. Adams was taken into custody after fleeing from the scene of the shooting. He is charged with 1st Degree Burglary and 1st Degree Assault. Detectives believe the victim and suspect (who are known to one another) engaged in an altercation at the victim's residence. Adams is believed to have fired one shot at the victim.
Spokane Police Officers responded to a call of a shooting at around 10:30 this morning at a home in the 2100 block of E. Heroy (near the intersection of Crestline and Heroy). When officers arrived on scene the victim (who had been shot once in the abdomen) informed them that a man identified as "Jesse" had shot him.
Officers quickly located the suspect, Jesse Adams at the intersection of Mayfair/Magnesium and took him into custody. The victim in this incident was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives are in the process of executing two search warrants, one at the home where the shooting occurred and one in the suspect's vehicle, in order to gather evidence related to the incident.
