UPDATE: Serious 2 Car Crash On Hwy. 395; One Driver Airlifted

COLVILLE, Wash. - Highway 395 is back open after a serious two car crash. It happened on Tuesday morning just eight miles south of Colville. 48-year-old Shaun Mercer of Rathdrum was driving southbound when he crossed the center line hitting 74-year-old William Dewitt's truck who was traveling northbound. Both of them were taken to the hospital. Mercer had to be airlifted by Medstar because of his injuries.

Spokane County Deputies say drugs and alcohol were likely involved.
