MOSES LAKE, Wash. - The Central Basin Investigation Team continues to investigate the shooting involving a Grant County Deputy early this morning. Investigators have finished serving a search warrant on the residence and processing the scene of the incident. Along with this they have also conducted several interviews, and it is anticipated this process will continue through the rest of the week.
Information provided to the investigative team is that the subject shot is in serious but stable condition in a Spokane area hospital.
We do not anticipate releasing any further information until either late Wednesday or Thursday morning. At that time we may be ready to release the names of the Deputy and subject that was shot. We appreciate your patience and understand your need for information. However, it is our desire to ensure we release completely accurate information, and in order to do this we need time to further investigate the incident. We will release information as soon as the release would not compromise the investigation.
MOSES LAKE, Wash. - An officer involved shooting in Moses Lake sends one man to the hospital. This happening in the 9300 block of Viewcrest Drive southeast, about four miles south of the city of Moses Lake.
Police responding to a domestic violence call around 3:30 this morning confirm one of the Grant county sheriff's deputies shot the man involved in the domestic dispute.
Because a deputy was involved, the Columbia Basin Investigation Team was called to the home to investigate.
The man shot by the deputy was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake where he is being treated. The woman involved in the domestic violence incident is said to be okay. The investigation is ongoing.
