UPDATE: North-South Freeway Moving Forward

SPOKANE, Wash. - One more step in the North/South freeway to open Tuesday. Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Senator Maria Cantwell will be on hand for the ribbon cutting of the new Parksmith exchange on the North/South corridor on-ramp. The ribbon cutting will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.   The project is years in the making and once complete crews expect it will take 10 minutes to get from downtown Spokane to Mead versus the 30 minutes it takes on North Division during rush hour.   The last five miles will not be easy say crews who are still looking for roughly a billion dollars in funding.
