UPDATE: Missing Endangered 18-Year-Old Male Found Safe

UPDATE: Coeur d'Alene Police School Resource Officers received a tip from a citizen that missing student William Potts was seen at the Kroc Center.

SRO's responded there and found William in the men's bathroom. He is safe and uninjured.

Officers continue to talk to him about why he has been upset and missed school. His parents have been notified that he is fine.

The Police Department would like to thank the media and the public for your assistance in helping us locate William.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CDA POLICE DEPT: Coeur d'Alene Police officers are searching for an endangered 18-year-old male. The parents of William H. Potts contacted the school counselor who in turn contacted the School Resource Officer at Lake City High School. His parents expressed concern for his current mental condition. Potts appears to possibly be dealing with depression.

Potts did not arrive at school today. He left his house at 7:40 am and no family members have had any contact with him since.

Potts is driving a 1999 Black Monte Carlo license plate K485651.
