UPDATE: Dead Body Found In East Spokane

UPDATE: Authorities have confirmed with KHQ that the body found in the back of a vacant house in east Spokane is not suspicious. We still do not know the identity of the deceased. As soon as we get more details we'll post them here on KHQ.com.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Major Crimes Detectives are currently investigating the discovery of a dead body in east Spokane. 

Police say a passerby saw the body Sunday morning in the back of a vacant house near the intersection of Madelia and East Riverside.  Right now major crimes detectives are trying to determine how the person died but they have told us nothing appears suspicious at this point.  The victim has not been identified.  As soon as we get any new information we will be sure to update this story.
