POST FALLS, Idaho - The identity of the victim from yesterday's drowning in Corbin Park has been released by the Sheriff's Office.
The victim, Andy J. Anderson, 55 of Post Falls, was found after about a two hour search in the swirling currents at the east end of Corbin Park. Anderson's body was found 43 feet below the surface of the water, less than 100 yards from where he was last seen swimming in the Spokane River.

POST FALLS, Idaho – The body of a 54-year-old man was pulled from the Spokane River at Corbin Park Friday night.
The call came in just before 6:30pm when the man's wife lost sight of him as he was swimming across a portion of the river with a swift current.
Nearby swimmers tried to help him, but they were unable to reach him after the swift current had pulled him under.
The Post Falls Dam was shut down to control the river level.
Divers used lights in the murky water to look for him for over an hour before finally locating him in about 40 feet below the surface, not far from where he was last seen swimming.
His wife says he was a strong swimmer.
Authorities are not releasing the victims name until his entire family has been notified.
