UPDATE: Mrs. Burger has been located safely by a neighbor! UPDATE: Kathryn Burger was last seen around 10 pm Tuesday, and recently had brain surgery, which has caused her to have seizures and short-term memory loss.She apparently walked away from her home on foot, and did not take her two dogs, which are her usual companions.One neighbor told KHQ Burger once came to her home thinking it was her own. Search and rescue crews are searching a 1-mile area around her home on N. Bear Lake Rd. Burger's family had no additional comment. OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On August 10, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies were called to 27416 N. Bear Lake Road reference a missing adult female. 53-year-old Kathryn Burger was last seen at the residence Thursday at 10:00 p.m. Kathryn had brain surgery 11 months ago and suffers from seizures and short term memory loss. Kathryn is 5'6" tall and weighs approximately 120 lbs. Kathryn has short hair in front and long hair in a pony-tail in back. Kathryn also has a large scar on her forehead from the surgery. Kathryn was last seen wearing a blue tank top and underpants. Sheriff's Office Deputies and AIR 1 are currently searching the area for Kathryn. If anybody has seen Kathryn you are asked to call 911 immediately.
