SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - The University Of Phoenix Campus in Spokane Valley will be phasing out their student support system.
More than 100 locations across the country are also shutting down.
Students were surprised to find doors locked with only a white piece of paper taped to the window with a short explanation.
The University of Phoenix offers Undergraduate and Graduate degrees online and at over 200 locations nationwide.
Near 13,000 students will be affected as well as nearly 800 employees across the country.
In Spokane Valley, the sign on the front door explains to students they are phasing out Spokane student support services.
There are no courses offered at the facility, but it does give students enrolled in online classes a place to meet and study.
According to the University, online advisors will be calling each student over the next week to make sure academic programs are not interrupted.
According to the University, hours will be cut over the next two weeks and the facility will close by the end of October.

Calls made to the Spokane Valley campus and its director were not returned.
