Idaho State Police say three people died in a car crash near Grangeville early Saturday morning. Troopers say the driver of a pickup was driving north on Grangeville-Salmon Road about two miles south of Highway 13 and lost control while negotiating a curve. The vehicle went off the road, then came back on and went off again on the west edge of the road, striking a tree. After the crash the truck became fully engulfed in flames and all three occupants died from their injuries. The driver and a passengers have not been identified, pending more information. However the third passenger, 18-year-old Justin Dempsey was identified and next of kin has been notified. The investigation into the crash continues.
