Spokane Valley Man Attacked With Sword

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - One woman has been arrested in connection with a sword attack. Her son is still outstanding. It happened in the area of Cement and Portland Rd. Monday night just after 8:30pm.

The victim was walking in the area when he saw a car parked in the middle of the road. Two people in the car were arguing. The man walked by the argument, without looking at them or getting involved. One of the people, Lillian Howell, came toward him waving her arms. He thought she was going to hit him. The man tried to protect himself from her, but saw another man, Nicholas Howell, walking towards him with a sword. Nicholas hit him twice on the head with the sword. One of the neighbors came to the victim's rescue and took the sword away from Nicholas.

Deputies were able to arrest Lillian Howell, but are still looking for her son, Nicholas Howell.
